Club Burgee
Each club member proudly
displays our Burgee on their
boat when we are 'Out There'.
Glen Cove Marina's "white
Victorian house",
built in
1910, was originally part of
the Carquinez Strait
Lighthouse and Life Saving
Station.  In 1955, the U.S.
Coast Guard automated the
lighthouse and the main
building was moved, in 1957,
to its present location at Elliot
Cove, overlooking the scenic
marina.

Chili Cook Off
It was a very nice party with some great and unusual
chilies.  Everyone of the 9 chili entries had something
special to offer.  42 people attended.  7 people brought
chili (some people brought 2).  35 people just paid and
ate.  They more than covered our costs.

Dirk got first place.  Steve got second place and MIssy
got third.  Every chili received at least several votes.
How about planning and organizing your own yacht club
event?  This could be a pot luck at the marina or other
location, an event at a local restaurant, a close-by cruise
for a picnic, etc., etc.
Just come to a Board meeting to get the Board on-board
and to get the event published.
Treasure Island Cruise Out - April 20-22

This is our first Cruise Out.  Join us!  Friday night will be a potluck at the
Treasure Island Yacht Club.  Saturday night the Yacht Club will provide a
dinner, this usually runs about $10 give or take a bit. There is a guest dock
and slips available for a average fee.  You can also anchor out in the cove for
free and there is a dinghy dock available.  We will need a head count ASAP
for dinners and who will be cruising in.  There is much to do on the Island
and Mike and Tracy are trying to arrange some activities for us, distillery and
winery tours etc.  Remember, if you can't cruise in, you can always drive in
to join us.  Please please call Commodore Steve (707-799-7361) or email
(glencoveyc@gmail.com) ASAP if you're going to join us.
